Nucla, Colorado (pop. 732) lies isolated on the western rim of the Uncompaghre Plateau, 90 highway miles west of Montrose and 110 south of Grand Junction. One of its key links to the outside world is the small public library at 544 Main St., where students and residents can browse the web, use the collection of 6,600 books, CDs and DVDs, or pick up books borrowed from other Colorado libraries.
